Hey guys, I've recently gotten a strat style guitar from a guy who puts miscellaneous parts together, and while I'm really happy with the playability, look, and feel of the guitar...I think that the humbucker (it's an HSS setup) is rather thin sounding (compared to my Gibson) so the question is -

Can anyone recommend a Humbucker that has a more "fat" sound? I'm playing blues and some classic rock. Hopefully one that costs less that 100 bucks...I was thinking a Bill Lawrence L500XL till I found out that Dimebag used those and I don't want a "metal" sounding pickup...

Check out the Seymour Duncan JB and also their brand new pickup the Alternative 8. I spoke to the Aussie rep the other day and he said it's like a JB on steroids!
