So i recently learned all the modes for the scales. I've learned how to incorporate major and pentatonic together to construct leads, can anyone help with when or how to join the modal scales on the party?

You'll notice A- pentatonic and A Dorian flow real nice over 2 chord vamps. Take changes like A- to D7 and loop them thru pro-tools or a Jam-Man . Take one position at a time . Start on the 4th and 5th position. A- pentatonic ( A,C,D,E,G )
& A Dorian ( A,B,C,D,E,F#,G,A ) - rather than get confused with names and trying to adjust one scale to what you think is the appropriate chord just start hearing both chords as a functional unit - wrong notes are optional!
